UndergraduatesWe have a strong track record of training undergraduate students. Undergraduates at Bay Area institutions (UC Berkeley, SFSU, USF, etc.) interested in joining the lab should send Rebecca a resume and a paragraph about why they’re interested in conducting scientific research in our lab.
techniciansWe are looking for full-time researchers. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in biology or a related field.

GRADUATE STUDENTSWe will be accepting rotation students starting in Fall 2026! We are excited to mentor students interested in genetics, evolution, host-pathogen interactions, and protein biology. Interested students should write Rebecca introducing yourself, your background, and why you’re interested in the lab.
Prospective graduate students should apply to one of UCSF’s Basic and Biomedical Science grad programs.
